Ms. Bolch holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Medical College of Georgia, a Master of Arts degree from Duquesne University, and a Master of Science degree in Nursing and Healthcare Administration from Pennsylvania State University.

Mr. Cosentino has an M.B.A. from Boston University and B.A. Physiology from University of Minnesota.

She has over 30 years of healthcare experience in a variety of settings including acute care, medical practice management, homecare and higher education. Beth has co-authored articles relating to best practices in chronic care, speaks frequently on homecare's role in chronic care management and healthcare reform, is active in legislative efforts to support chronic care management on both state and federal levels, serves on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Homecare and Hospice, and also serves as the President of the Homecare Association of Arkansas.

Karen Thomas is President of Oxford Healthcare and Hospice.  Karen has a Bachelors in Accounting, Masters in Business Administration and is a Certified Management Accountant.  Before pursuing a career in health care, Karen worked with a large international company where she was a Finance Director for a manufacturing division with sites in the US and Mexico.  Her experience includes teaching at Missouri State University, and guest lecturer for their Health Care Administration Master’s program speaking on “The Capabilities of Home Health and its Future”.

Karen led the development of the first Missouri state reimbursed telemonitoring program and has spoken to national audiences regarding the importance of home care and the care of the chronically ill.  She authored a chapter/book – “Home Telehealth: Connecting Care within the Community”.   Karen has been recognized as Missourian of the Year and Innovator of the Year for Oxford HealthCare’s telemonitoring program.

Boomer News & Views, a weekly talk radio show developed and co-hosted by Karen is structured to offer a variety of interesting subjects for the 40+ audience.

Val J. Halamandaris

Val J. Halamandaris was named president of NAHC effective July 1, 1982. During his tenure membership has increased more than 1000%, revenues have increased from $250,000 to $12.8 million, and staff has increased from 3 to 85. He came to this position from the staff of the House of Representatives Select Committee on Aging, where he was senior counsel and director of oversight. The Honorable Claude Pepper was chairman of the committee. Prior to joining the House Committee staff in 1978, Halamandaris was associate counsel to the US Senate Committee on Aging between 1969 and 1978. From 1962 to 1969 he worked with US Senator Frank E. Moss, who was instrumental in the founding of the Senate Aging Committee in 1961.
